Staff Nurse

  • Salary: £21 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated 6 Staff Nurses to establish and maintain the highest standard of care within a brand new, state of the art care facility. The successful candidate will supervise staff performance, promote the good reputation of the home, and deputise for senior nursing staff as required. This role is integral to our commitment to providing exceptional care to our service users.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Carry out individual care as per Service User's care plans.
  • Continuously assess and monitor the dependency of Service Users.
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate Service User's care plans, risk management assessments, and other assessment tools.
  • Promote confidentiality and establish good relationships between Service Users, relatives, and staff.
  • Participate in the Service Users' activity programme.
  • Administer and control drugs and medications in line with company policy, NMC, and Health Authority guidelines.
  • Undertake direct nursing care as necessary.
  • Allocate duties and tasks to Care Staff and supervise the service of food and drinks to Service Users.
  • Improve and update professional knowledge and assist with the training of all staff in the clinical area.
  • Carry out other duties as directed, in a safe manner, with regard to the health, safety, and welfare of self, staff, Service Users, and other persons.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the aging process.
  • Familiarity with the care planning and risk management process.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities.

  • Ability to supervise and train staff effectively.

  • Participation in developing a personal development plan twice a year.
  • Supervision sessions every two months.
