Behaviour Mentor

Posted by Tradewind Recruitment.

Do you have experience supporting children that display challenging behaviours?

Are you empathetic, patient and resilient?

Do you want to work in an outstanding school that supports & appreciates you while offering lots of ongoing training?

If the answer is yes, then this role is your next move!

I am recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to start ASAP on a full time & long term basis at a secondary special needs school in Offerton, Stockport.

You would primarily be supporting a male pupil with additional needs that include Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs (SEMH), although you would be required to provide whole group support at times as well.

As such they need someone with experience of supporting children with challenging behaviour, who can drive if necessary and has Team Teach certification in behaviour management and positive handling.

The school caters for young people aged 11-18 with special needs including significant and complex needs. They have small groups of no more than 10 pupils with high ratios of support staff to children so team working is essential. Lessons are high bespoke and differentiated by teachers to meet the individual needs of the students in their groups.

The school is rated outstanding in all areas and they have a great reputation in the area. There is a friendly and supportive atmosphere and they have a skilled and stable team of staff with low turnover.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm. Pay up to £100/day depending on experience. Pay reviewed in the 12th week. Paid PAYE by Tradewind, we don't use umbrella payroll companies! The role could turn permanent for the right person.
