Do you excel in Customer Service and Administrative tasks? Are you skilled in CRM management and Team Collaboration? Charity People are partnering with a public health organisation, based in central London and operating across the UK.

As a public health charity, they are dedicated to improving and protecting the public's health through qualifications, membership, digital learning, publishing, accreditation, national and regional programmes, and policy and campaigning work.

As a Membership Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Membership & Educational Services Team and collaborating with wider teams to ensure effective administration of the Membership service.

Location: London - Hybrid (1 day per week in office)
Duration: Until early December
Start Date: 11th July
Pay: £14.84 per hour (Equivalent to £27,000 FTE)
Working pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

About the role:
o Support the Membership Executive with membership activities, including handling calls and enquiries from new and existing members, providing high-level customer service, and updating the CRM database.
o Maintain membership records, process applications, generate and distribute reminder notices, invoice membership subscriptions, and maintain accurate records.
o Support the maintenance of the CRM system and associated activities.
o Administer and prepare monthly reports related to direct debit functions, including updating DD rejections and contacting members as needed.
o Support and develop membership events in coordination with the marketing team.
o Assist in developing membership recruitment and retention strategies.
o Contribute to the marketing and communications strategy for Membership, including writing social posts, collating member spotlights, writing copy for the newsletter, and identifying target audiences for marketing campaigns.
o Support the administration of membership webinars as required.
o Perform any other activities necessary to support the Membership & Educational Services team.

About you:
The ideal candidate will possess high digital literacy and confidence in using Microsoft Office packages, alongside the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently. You will demonstrate a high standard of communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening, and will be capable of working accurately with excellent attention to detail. The ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and provide support to colleagues is essential. Additionally, experience in administering a CRM system is required.
