Management Accountant
Remote with Monthly Travel Required
£45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Our client, an innovative company operating within the leisure industry, is presently in search of a skilled Management Accountant to join their dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position is remote, with monthly travel required to the Channel Islands.
As the Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include overseeing and ensuring the timely and accurate input of all financial data, continuously improving the efficiency and reliability of financial record-keeping and processing, and offering insightful reporting and analysis to enhance management decision-making.
The responsibilities:
- Supervise and train finance team members as needed.
- Assist in preparing weekly cashflow and payment proposals.
- Aid in preparing monthly management accounts and variance reports, focusing on expense analysis in key business areas.
- Liaise closely with line manager to ensure appropriate record-keeping structure and ledger hierarchy.
- Maintain accuracy and completeness of accounting system data entry, including journal transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies across all business touchpoints.
- Develop analysis and financial schedules for enhanced management insights.
- Proactively seek ways to improve internal controls and reporting efficiencies.
- Import and analyse sales data from various channels into accounting system.
- Ensure timely settlement of sales revenue from all channels.
- Support annual audit process by preparing field work and liaising with external auditors.
The candidate:
- Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc.
- Proven experience within a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, with familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
