Location: Central London

Job Status: Permanent. Hybrid working, 4 days in the office and 1 day WFH

Report to: ALM Analyst and Head of Finance

Finance Analyst - Summary:

This role will be supporting the head of Finance and ALM Analyst to provide technical and analytical reports to the executive management team, to deliver efficient funding of the business, maintaining an effective control environment to mitigate and minimise financial and operational risk.

  • Assist to ensure branch asset and liability and specifically liquidity risk are managed accordingly.
  • Assist to support branch ALCO meeting documents preparation and meeting minutes.
  • Assist to ensure accurate and timely submission of regulator reporting documents, Head Office reporting documents and tax reporting.

Finance Analyst - What You'll be Doing Each Day:

This role will work closely with the ALM analyst and Head of Finance to support London Branch with asset and liability management and overall Finance function.

Responsibilities includes but not restricted to:

Asset & Liability Management:

  • Daily monitoring and reporting of the branch's liquidity position and cash flow forecast, ensuring on-going compliance with risk appetite
  • Assist to support branch ALCO meeting documents preparation and meeting minutes
  • Analysis and calculation of key liquidity ratios (LCR, Liquidity Ratio and NSFR)
  • Preparation and development of liquidity stress tests
  • Support business analysis and forecasting, including budget management
  • Contribute to ALM projects such as MI system and ALM development

Branch Performance Review

  • Perform asset and liability portfolio review
  • Preparation of ALCO management reports
  • Review branch RWA consumption and RoRWA
  • Enhance and develop business analysis and regular performance appraisal
  • Enhance budget/KPI management and regular monitor of budget/KPI progress
  • Industrial analysis and peers analysis, business guidance.

FTP Management and Development:

  • Assist in the monitoring of FTP quotations
  • Support FTP efficiency within front desk
  • Assist in review and maintenance of branch FTP policy

Other:

  • Assist to ensure accurate and timely submission of regulator reporting documents, Head Office reporting documents and tax reporting.
  • Assist in branch interest rate risk management, exchange risk management
  • Actively participate in system development to enhance the function and ability of data analysis including HO ALM related projects / system development
  • Ad hoc requirements

Finance Analyst - The skills you need to succeed:

  • Degree holder from reputable university, with a Finance related degree
  • Relevant working experience in Finance department, preferably from financial services industry
  • Part-qualified or working towards a qualified accountant qualification
  • Good financial knowledge, with demonstrable experience in processing expense claims, bookkeeping and journal recording, assist with VAT tax return.
  • Mandarin would be a bonus but not a must
