Role Overview:

The Financial Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company. This role involves managing the finance department, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and contributing to strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing strategic insights to senior management.
  • Lead the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to optimize the company's financial performance.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage financial risks, and ensure the efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and drive financial performance.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a CPA or CMA qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management.
  • Proven track record of success in a similar role with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools; experience with Sage200 is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
