Job Overview:
We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience in acute settings to join our team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. The role will focus on general medicine and elderly care, providing rehabilitation services to help patients improve their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement treatment programs for patients in general medicine and elderly care settings.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
- Manage a diverse caseload and ensure efficient discharge planning.
- Provide education, advice, and support to patients and their families.
Key Requirements:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in acute settings, particularly general medicine and elderly care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and make clinical decisions independently.
