I'm currently looking for a confident Software Developer to join one of the UK's leading professional service providers, who work across a large range of sectors. Their core values include being environmentally friendly, empowering there employees and going above and beyond for their customers. They are currently in the middle of a tech transformation and have recently invested a large amount of money into this.
The company are based just outside central Manchester, they are a company who offer flexible work hours and flexible remote working options. Either once a month in office or visiting more frequently if that is what you prefer.
The Role:
As a software developer, your duties will include creating and maintaining creative, business-critical, internal and customer-facing applications in both new and legacy technologies as needed. In order to guarantee that any issues with these programs are fixed promptly and efficiently, you will additionally offer technical assistance. You will do code reviews as part of the job to find fundamental logical and technical mistakes and support appropriate coding standards.
For your relevant team, you will be expected to participate in the planning and review of development deadlines and the iterative build, test, and deployment procedures.
Must Have:
- Proficient in C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core & ASP.NET (at least 2 years of experience)
- Proficient in T-SQL
- A good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript & CSS
- Knowledge of UI/UX standards, trends and emerging technologies
- Experience integrating with other systems through web services, e.g. REST and GraphQL
- An understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Good knowledge of version control & CI/CD
- Good interpersonal skills
- Extensive experience in web app development
Desired
- Experience with Azure Integration technologies (Inc. App services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and API Manager Etc.)
- Knowledge of a JavaScript framework preferable, e.g. React
- Bachelor's Degree Level or above in a related subject (Computer Science etc.) preferred.
