Senior Building Surveyor
- Annual Salary: £48k - £54k
- Location: Various sites, must be willing to travel
- Job Type: Permanent
- 2x positions available – one to cover Bristol, Somerset and East Devon. The other to cover East Devon down to Cornwall. When not onsite you can work hybrid (home and office-based work)
We are seeking a Building Surveyor with a strong background in surveying who is looking for their next step into a management role.
This is a leadership position where you will be managing a team of 5 to 6 surveyors, overseeing safety issues, HHSRS, and carrying out planning replacement agreements.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and manage a team of 5 to 6 surveyors, ensuring high standards of work and professional development.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess safety issues and ensure compliance with HHSRS.
- Oversee and plan replacements and maintenance schedules across different sites.
- Ensure all surveying activities are carried out to the highest standards and in accordance with current regulations.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on building surveying matters.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement within the team and the surveying processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong background in building surveying.
- Prior management experience is desirable but not essential
- Chartered status is desirable (but training can be provided)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across different sites.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in planning, organising, and managing resources.
- Knowledgeable in safety regulations and HHSRS.
