Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities

  • Create and implement lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and school guidelines
  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction to Year 1 students, promoting active participation and academic growth
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experiences
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development

Year 1 Teacher Requirements

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Proven experience in teaching Year 1 students, including knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities to manage lesson planning, assessments, and reporting
  • Passionate about education and dedicated to fostering a love for learning in young students
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of students and respond to changes in the educational environment
