Warehouse Office Administrator

Contract Personnel Thetford are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Snetterton who are looking for warehouse General adminstrator to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Warehouse Office Administrator will support both the overall operations of the warehouse and the business from an administrative perspective. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating office and warehouse activities, and ensuring efficient administrative processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records through regular data entry and audits.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with scheduling and coordinating daily activities.
  • Handle correspondence, including emails and phone calls, related to warehouse and business operations.

Order Processing:

  • Process incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain organized files for all warehouse and business-related documents, including invoices, shipping documents, and inventory reports.
  • Prepare and generate regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and order status.

Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to warehouse and business administration.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, management, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
  • Support the quality assurance team in addressing and resolving any product issues.

Safety Compliance:

  • Support the enforcement of safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff.
  • Assist in conducting regular safety inspections and maintaining safety-related documentation.

Equipment Coordination:

  • Assist in coordinating the maintenance and repairs of office and warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure office supplies are stocked and reordered as necessary.

Business Support:

  • Provide administrative support to other business functions as needed.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating business meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of business communications and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management systems and office software (e.g., MS Office).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety regulations is a plus.

Education:

  • High school/A Level qualifications or equivalent required.
  • Additional education or certification in administration, logistics, or a related field is a plus.

Pay Rate

£21190.90 to £30,000 PA dependant on experience

Shifts/Hours

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
