Financial Controller

This fast expanding, dynamic Charity are searching for a Financial Controller.

The finance function is changing with a new leadership team.

The organisation is looking for a Group Financial Controller to be responsible for providing leadership and management oversight of all accounting, control, taxation, treasury and statutory reporting matters.

This role will allow you to develop a highly efficient and effective team that will be able to provide exceptional transactional services, develops and maintains risk assessed controls, and technical expertise and advisory.

You will be a member of the organisation's Senior Leadership Team and will have access to Executive and Board levels.

Duties:

Accounting and responsibility for all aspects of financial accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable and processing of the group's income and expenditure.

You will be responsible for the control and risk management with staff reporting to you.

Monitoring of the internal, external and legislative changes, ensuring all changes to policies, processes and practice are planned and implemented.

Identify weaknesses, recommend and implement improvements, ensure documentation remains current

Audit, Tax and other regulatory requirements and responsible for the production of statutory annual accounts for all group entities and consolidation, ensuring all financial activities are compliant, and you will be working alongside the company secretary.

Annual audit process acting as the lead relationship holder with external auditors. Plan and maintain the tax liabilities under existing and proposed legislation. Minimise the tax burden, whilst supporting the CFO in negotiations with tax authorities.

Ad-hoc compliance requirements arising from other business areas.

Prepare long-term and short-term cash-flow forecasts and working with senior stakeholders to integrate operating cash-flow forecasts with new business and capital projects cash-flow forecasts.

Keep abreast of legal, regulatory and best practice developments in the field of accountancy.

You must have a qualification such as ACA or CCAB or CIMA with working knowledge.
