Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars, vans, and light trucks.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Carry out repairs and replace parts as necessary, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed.
- Utilise diagnostic equipment and software to assist in identifying vehicle issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and the repairs required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous learning and training.
Experience essential for this role:
- NVQ/IMI Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and their functions.
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
