We are seeking a Communications Officer to manage the media aspects of a regeneration project in Sheffield. This role requires a self-sufficient individual who can handle a variety of stakeholders and their differing priorities. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality communications services for key activities, including campaign planning, press and public relations, advertising, and corporate internal and change communications.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to support the regeneration project.
- Manage media relations, including writing press releases, handling press inquiries, and building relationships with journalists.
- Plan and deliver effective campaigns across multiple channels to engage the public and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Provide advice and support for internal communications and change management initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a communications role, preferably within a public sector or regeneration project context.
- Strong ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in campaign planning and delivery.
- Proficiency in press and public relations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
