Our Client is a innovative housing association based in Hertfordshire looking for Financial reporting manager to join their team. Description

  • Lead the Budget Cycle: From preparation to monitoring and reporting, you'll oversee both revenue and capital budgets, including an exciting development programme.
  • Financial Accounts Preparation: You'll take charge of statutory financial accounts preparation, supported by a skilled team of four.
  • Finance Business Partner: Work closely with budget holders, providing core financial information and supporting business case preparation.
  • Capital Expenditure Accounting: Manage the accounting for capital expenditure and ensure accurate financial year-end processes, including audits.

Profile

  • Customer-Focused Leader: Excel in leading the finance reporting function and interacting with diverse individuals.
  • Numerically Strong: Demonstrate strong financial principles and a hands-on approach to delivery.
  • Team Development: Possess the skills and desire to develop your team to meet the current and future demands of an effective finance reporting function.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years' experience in leading financial and management accounts
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Proven experience in managing and developing staff to achieve top performance standards
  • Recent experience in producing statutory financial accounts from trial balance
  • Ability to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of the housing sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Understanding of VAT and partial exemption
  • Experience in developing staff to become qualified accountants
