Salary: £30,082 - £36,766 per annum

We are Forward, the social enterprise that empowers people to break the cycle of crime or addiction to move forward with their lives. For more than 25 years we have been helping people to build positive and productive lives, whatever their past. We believe that anyone is capable of lasting change. Our services have supported thousands of people to make positive changes and build productive lives with a job, family, friends, and a sense of community.

Forward Trust deliver Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS), directly for HMPPS. Currently we deliver Accommodation, Dependency and Recovery and Personal Wellbeing. Accommodation is delivered in Dyfed-Powys, South Wales and Gwent. Dependency and Recovery in London and Yorkshire and The Humber. Personal Wellbeing in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Sussex, Surrey; and as a subcontractor in Kent and Cheshire.

What you will be doing

Our Team Leaders make big changes happen all around them. They coach, support, and develop their Recovery Navigators, carry a small caseload, drive quality, work with great partner organizations, develop our services, knowledge and ideas about how to help service users on probation succeed. Adults have a proven reoffending rate of 25%. Forward Trust are on a mission to change that because we believe another life is possible.

We support Males 18+ on Probation in London to successfully complete their Probation Supervision, to stop offending, and to live their potential. Delivering interventions so that our service users build relationships with their community, other services, pro social friends, families, and themselves. Building a crime free life stops the cycle of harm.

We are looking for our next Team Leader to cover probation region: Kingston, Richmond, Hounslow, Wandsworth, Merton and Sutton delivery units. You will work alongside the probation officers and be based in only Richmond, Wandsworth and Wimbledon office within a hybrid model, with flexibility for some home working.

You will have management experience, and you might have worked in prisons, probation, police or the courts before. You could be a psychology graduate, life coach, counsellor or psychotherapist. You might have worked in education, social services, health, or social prescribing, maybe you were or are a foster carer. Perhaps right now you are able to bring different life skills and experiences that are transferable. The important thing is that you really enjoy working with others, are good at building rapport, are passionate about making a difference, and believe that everyone can turn their life around.

Join us as a Team Leader, at Forward Trust. Make a difference to individual lives whilst building your career in a leading Charity who prove every day that "another life is possible". We believe that everyone can live a fulfilling life, whatever their past. Our Interventions help adult men to implement their plan, navigate their recovery journey, building trust, and providing support/continuity of contact. We will provide a range of motivational interventions ranging from harm reduction, relapse prevention, education, sign posting to relevant services and peer support.

It's important work, and with it comes responsibility and delivery expectations. You will have close relationships with Probation Delivery Units, Prisons, Partners, Service Users, Stakeholders, Volunteers and all parts of Forward Trust. You will make every contact matter and keep excellent records. We provide training and support, but we need you to understand and be highly motivated to engage with all aspects of this role right from your application.
