My client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment and possess a diverse product knowledge. This role involves responding to customer sales enquiries, managing stock control systems, and maximising sales opportunities.

- Annual bonus – currently 6 % of salary (non- guaranteed), payable in two instalments, June and December.
- 38.25 hours per week – 8.30 am to 5.15 pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 3.30 pm on Fridays with 45 minutes for lunch.

Day to Day of the role:
- Respond to customer sales enquiries via telephone, email, fax, or quotation in a timely manner.
- Use the internal stock control system to quote prices and advise on delivery timescales for items in stock.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date product and parts information to customers.
- Take sales orders from customers and liaise with internal functions such as Procurement, Sales Order Processing, Production Control, and Assembly as necessary.
- Source pricing and delivery options from external suppliers/manufacturers for both franchised and non-franchised products.
- Support field-based sales representatives and maximise sales on related component accessories.
- Follow up on quotations and negotiate pricing terms in accordance with company procedures.
- Provide support with Sales Order Processing, covering for holiday/sickness periods when required.
- Undertake other tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Computer literacy and familiarity with stock control software/systems.
- Excellent telephone manner and effective communication skills.
- Good numeracy skills for accurate pricing calculations.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical components is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn new skills quickly and deliver excellent customer service.
- Ability to respond positively to pressure and work flexibly with attention to detail.
- Capability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
