Private Client Solicitor

- Reporting to: Partner and Head of Private Client Team
We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) to handle a comprehensive range of private client matters. The successful candidate will contribute to the profitability of the group and the firm's development in accordance with our business plans.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Conduct client matters with accuracy and reliability, adhering to the firm's quality and risk management procedures.
- Generate fee income and maintain control over time recording, work in progress, billing, and cash collection in line with targets.
- Engage in business development opportunities to promote the team and firm.
- Provide supervision and support for colleagues' fee-earning work, particularly during absences and holidays.
- Participate in marketing activities and maintain high standards of client care.
- Manage the preparation of correspondence and documents through the case management system.
- Handle filing and management of client files in accordance with office procedures.
- Attend and participate in group meetings and develop new work from existing clients while seeking new clients.
- Maintain and nurture a network of contacts and referrers, and promote the firm in professional and personal capacities.
- Utilize IT and telephone skills appropriate for modern legal practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Admitted as a solicitor, legal executive, or equivalent with at least 5 years of PQE in private client work.
- Proficient in case management systems and standard office applications.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Committed to the firm's core values, and able to work collaboratively within the team.
- Efficient, reliable, with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Self-motivated and professional, able to use own initiative.
