Talent Attraction

and

Recruitment Business Partner

  • It will be your responsibility to create the

recruitment

strategy in line with the overall People Strategy. Working with like minded HR professionals, you will have a huge impact on candidate attraction and developing and nurturing talented people. Passionate about delivering first rate people business partnering services, you will have a depth and breadth of talent attraction, acquisition and recruitment expertise.

You will develop and lead strategic workforce planning, resourcing and succession planning ambitions and create impactful recruitment campaigns that will help to attract the best possible talent to the Trust. Leading a small, committed team, you will be the trusted expert working across a mixture of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire schools in a matrix environment to provide the best possible resourcing solutions.

With lead responsibility for innovative

talent attraction

, excellent market positioning, safer recruitment and brilliant on-boarding you will play a critical role in ensuring that future hires receive the best possible introduction to the Trust and experience the sort of magic that they endeavour to create for all of the children, students and learners that they serve. You will play a key role in challenging social disadvantage, delivering on diversity, equity and inclusion commitments, ensuring regulatory compliance and contributing to the Trust's vision, growth and strategic plan.

What you will be doing:

- Talent attraction

campaigns: design, develop and deliver innovative talent attraction and

recruitment campaigns

that are tailored to meet resourcing and improvement needs.

- Safer

Recruitment

: ensure best practices are embraced, understood and implemented so that there is confidence and assurance in the approach to safer recruitment

  • Onboarding and Induction: work with senior leaders to ensure new members of staff receive a first-rate induction to their role, their team and the wider academy/Trust community.
  • Strategic workforce planning: develop and deliver a trust wide strategic approach for workforce planning that is evidenced based and uses predictive analytics wherever possible.
  • Succession planning: work closely with Executive Leaders, Principals, Heads and their respective senior teams to develop clear succession plans that maximises internal talent.
  • Resource Planning: develop and implement a robust, evidence-based resource planning approach with streamlined processes to ensure dynamic, cost effective vacancy management.
  • Interview and selection processes – providing insight, best practices, support and guidance to ensure inclusive, thoughtful and robust interview and selection practices across the trust.
  • Role grading and design: supporting academies, schools and central teams Trust with the design, evaluation and grading of roles to ensure consistency, fairness and minimise risk.
  • Retention: Develop and deploy innovative retention strategies, learning from proactive leaver learning interventions and intelligence so that the best talent is retained and developed.
  • Excellent service delivery: Lead the Talent Attraction and Recruitment team to deliver a responsive service to all academies and central services within the Trust, ensuring compliance with employment and recruitment law and consistent advice in a solution focused manner.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Relevant legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements and manage the effect they have on the Trust and staff.
  • Statutory Annual Return: Support the submission of the statutory annual return to the Department for Education (DfE) and other Government Agencies, e.g. workforce census.
  • Budget Management: Responsible for management and monitoring of any HR budget allocated to you to ensure maximum value for money on any spend.

What we are looking for:

To lead the

Talent

function, it goes without saying that we are looking for experience within a similar role, you will have extensive experience in

Talent Attraction

, building candidate pools, employer branding and workforce planning. It would also be great if you have had experience of the education sector, if not education - a little public sector experience ideally. It would be desirable if you also had your CIPD level 5 - however this isn't essential.
