1:1 Secondary Teaching Assistant

We are specifically working with a 'good' secondary school in Merseyside who are looking to secure the services of an outstanding Teaching Assistant, to join their school as soon as possible. This role is to support a Year 10 pupil on a 1:1 basis with behavioural needs and SEN needs (ASD/ADHD).
They are looking for someone who can build a positive relationship with the child to help them settle within the general mainstream school setting. You must be comfortable with managing behaviour, have knowledge of the curriculum and EBD/SEMH.
The position is full time and 5 days a week.
To be successful in this role, it is essential you are calm, resilient, and overall, have a good sense of humour to build positive relationships that contribute to a conducive learning environment.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location - Rainhill
- Position - Secondary Teaching Assistant

- Start date - as soon as possible
- End date - long term if successful until July 2024

- Minimum rate of pay - £85 per day
- Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree educated with a good classification (preferred but not required)
- Teaching assistant qualification
- SEN specialism qualifications
- Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
- Up to date Prevent training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
