Technical Engineer

Location: High Wycombe

Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 Depending on experience

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

Overview:

Hardman Grey Recruitment is currently seeking a Technical Engineer on behalf of our client. Reporting to the Technical Director, the ideal candidate will be involved in projects with building design consultants, clients and contractors. Water treatment design projects will include:

  • Physical water conditioners
  • Ultraviolet disinfection systems
  • Chlorine dioxide dosing systems
  • Water softeners
  • Reverse Osmosis system
  • Filtration equipment
  • Chemical dosing systems

The successful Technical Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the sales team to resolve client issues
  • Providing assistance and support to the technical director
  • Liaising with the manufacturing plant in Germany
  • Managing numerous projects at any one time
  • Site visits to liaison with clients
  • Identifying and controlling client issues
  • Preparation of cases and resolution reports using the CRM
  • Keeping the CRM up to date with problems on site
  • Assisting with product development as required
  • Attending and supporting on training needs when required
  • Sourcing parts and spares for the product range on offer
  • Providing day to day technical support to the internal sales team in an organized and timely manner
  • Representing the company in a professional manner
  • Participating in technical training
  • Other duties as required

Ideally the Technical Engineer will have:

  • A degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering (or a minimum of 3 years of relevant technical experience)
  • A full manual driving license
  • Confidence and the ability to work with building design consultants, contractors and clients on projects
  • Knowledge of Revit/ 3D BIM or AutoCad would be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail, writing and communication skills
