A Senior Compliance Analyst is required for a global law firm in the Risk and Compliance department. The role involves ensuring internal policies adhere to regulatory requirements, with a particular focus on trusts and estates.

Description

  • Handling complex CDD issues, particularly in relation to companies and trusts (analysing new client documents and advising on whether further information is needed)
  • Understanding and analysing complex structures and identifying ultimate beneficial owners and the documents required on a risk basis and in accordance with relevant regulations
  • Researching the source of wealth and funds and advising partners accordingly
  • Carrying out PEP searches and assisting with managing the CDD inbox
  • Review and update company compliance policies and procedures
  • Ensure internal operations meet regulatory standards
  • Conduct internal audits and report findings
  • Provide training to team members on compliance matters
  • Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements in the professional services industry
  • Collaborate with legal and management teams to address compliance issues
  • Prepare reports on compliance activities for senior management
  • Assist in the development of compliance risk management strategies

Profile

A successful Senior Compliance Analyst should have:

  • A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in managing compliance issues within the professional services sector
  • Experience in a similar role within a law firm
  • Experience analysing complex structures, trusts and estates within compliance
  • Excellent knowledge of compliance laws and regulations
  • A high level of analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a legal department
