Description
- Handling complex CDD issues, particularly in relation to companies and trusts (analysing new client documents and advising on whether further information is needed)
- Understanding and analysing complex structures and identifying ultimate beneficial owners and the documents required on a risk basis and in accordance with relevant regulations
- Researching the source of wealth and funds and advising partners accordingly
- Carrying out PEP searches and assisting with managing the CDD inbox
- Review and update company compliance policies and procedures
- Ensure internal operations meet regulatory standards
- Conduct internal audits and report findings
- Provide training to team members on compliance matters
- Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements in the professional services industry
- Collaborate with legal and management teams to address compliance issues
- Prepare reports on compliance activities for senior management
- Assist in the development of compliance risk management strategies
Profile
A successful Senior Compliance Analyst should have:
- A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficiency in managing compliance issues within the professional services sector
- Experience in a similar role within a law firm
- Experience analysing complex structures, trusts and estates within compliance
- Excellent knowledge of compliance laws and regulations
- A high level of analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a legal department
