  • Salary: £50-90K depending on experience

We are seeking a Systems Analyst with a background in the Insurance industry coupled with configuration using SQL as well as Business Analyst skills (process flows/mapping) - THESE 3 ARE A MUST HAVE! Only apply if you have all 3 experiences please.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects, owning issues, and demonstrating flexibility in both business and technical areas. This role is client-facing and requires excellent communication skills to determine requirements, estimate costs, and present solutions.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Configure insurance systems to meet client specifications.
  • Produce project feasibility reports and liaise with external clients or internal resources.
  • Create documentation and MIS reports using tools such as Crystal and MS Report Builder.
  • Build and execute SQL queries for database reporting and modifications.
  • Translate client requirements into highly specified project documents.
  • Develop logical and innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Propose system modifications or replacements to clients and ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute testing schedules for product/model testing.
  • Implement projects, working flexibly to deadlines, and provide user training.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical and insurance industry developments.
  • Undertake any other related duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience with a good understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Proven analytical ability and strong logical investigative skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database applications, design methods, and approaches.
  • Ability to learn and understand insurance and financial applications.
  • Competence in configuring software applications to client requirements.
  • Understanding of business and system process flows and the ability to design appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of work product.
  • Autonomous work ethic and ownership of tasks and issues.
  • Competent use and understanding of standard office IT applications.
