This is a one-year fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible.
**Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons tailored to diverse student abilities and needs.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through ongoing assessments and formal examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students enhance their language skills.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning styles.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum materials.
- Maintain accurate and current records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, encouraging their active involvement in the educational process.
**Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service is essential.
- A minimum of 3 months of teaching experience in the UK.
- A proven track record of successful teaching in an 11-16 school.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum.
