Assistant Accountant

My Client are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in London. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of group reporting, financial statements, and compliance requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain exposure to international finance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing quarterly reporting requirements for banks and investors, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow consolidation.
  • Handle bookkeeping for Group legal entities, including bank transactions, ledger journals, and intercompany invoicing.
  • Prepare weekly revenue generation reports and analyze movements in the week.
  • Oversee and report results of global timesheet compliance.
  • Review intercompany loan and trading balances.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting for Group finance, such as supplier review, event analysis, training analysis, and ESG reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated annual financial statements for the business.
  • Prepare annual financial statements for various group holding companies.
  • Lead the preparation of annual financial statements for dormant and non-trading companies, including entity dissolution.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified ACA or ACCA, with training support provided.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly professional, with a strong client-service attitude and the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Objective thinking and ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
