As the Head of IT Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in managing the strategic business relationships and leading teams to deliver technology products and change to internal and external end users.
Your New Role
In this key leadership position and reporting to the CIO, you will ensure that business application systems are fully aligned with agreed business outcomes. You will be responsible for defining, developing, and maintaining outcome-aligned product strategies, leading the execution and delivery of these strategies within a well-defined software development life cycle process.
Collaborating with business leadership and key stakeholders, you will act as a conduit for IT, advocating for opportunities and contributing to prioritisation processes based on your deep understanding of business strategies and the organisation's vision.
Additionally, you will drive the IT Business Partnering function, fostering strategic interfaces with business units and evolving product and project management capabilities to meet business demand. You will elicit and translate requirements from the business, enhancing the value of the application portfolio.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Extensive experience in managing strategic IT/business relationships and leading high-performing teams in delivering technology solutions.
- Proven track record in developing and executing outcome-aligned product strategies within a software development life cycle process.
- Strong partnership-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business leaders and key stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of business strategies and the ability to translate them into actionable plans.
- Proficiency in driving IT business partnering, influencing business change, and enabling efficiency and innovation.
- Sound understanding of product and project management capabilities, with the ability to deliver differentiating change and new functionality.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders.
- Experience leading technical product teams and promoting a collaborative, autonomous, and agile culture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into user stories.
- Knowledge of best practices in portfolio delivery processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with data management and the effective use of data in development.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget management and reporting.
