Senior Project Manager - 12 month FTC - Glasgow (Hybrid working)

I am looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a Service Excellence project team with my public sector client in Glasgow.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role, where you will organise and manage the delivery of Service Excellence as part of a wider Transformation Programme. You will be responsible for overseeing a Portfolio of projects, driving process improvements, and ensuring governance and reporting structures are in place to support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects focused on delivering service improvements and operational excellence across the organisation.
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks, ensuring reporting structures, risk management, and project documentation are consistently maintained.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to embed continuous improvement practices and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Use both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to manage project timelines, adapting to evolving priorities and ensuring the effective delivery of outcomes.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, priorities, and timelines, managing expectations throughout the project life cycle.
  • Oversee multiple workstreams at different stages of delivery, coordinating efforts to ensure deadlines are met and project goals are achieved.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and service excellence.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager, ideally within public sector transformation or service delivery programmes.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects and deliver measurable improvements in Service Excellence.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams and managing Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining robust governance frameworks and reporting structures.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, while maintaining focus on key project milestones.
  • Proactive with the ability to work effectively in a busy and changing environment.
