Our manufacturing client is looking for an Injection Moulding Technician to join their team.
As the Injection Moulding Technician you will fully support the moulding production department in all aspects of injection moulding and complete changeovers in a safe, timely manner.
Please note: this is a shift-based on-site role.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Continuously oversee production processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in real-time to prevent downtime and maintain efficiency.
- Regularly monitor machines for performance and efficiency.
- Analyse production data to identify areas where scrap can be reduced.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimise waste and improve overall production quality.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve issues within the production process.
- Collaborate with team members to implement effective solutions and prevent recurring problems.
- Manage and execute production changeovers to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth transitions between production runs.
- Ensure timely ordering and availability of materials needed for production.
- Work with suppliers and inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Accurately collect and report production figures.
- Analyse data to provide insights into production performance and identify areas for improvement.
Desired Technical Skills and Experience:
- Related processing (injection moulding) qualifications
- Hands on experience of injection moulding.
- 5 years+ experience defining/fault finding injection moulding processes.
- Detailed understanding of injection moulding machines, moulds, robots and ancillary equipment.
- Able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
- To be able to train and instruct others on work instructions or SOPs.
