Location: Edinburgh (Flexible working available)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary Package: Competitive

My excellent client in central Edinburgh is seeking a Private Client Solicitor, ideally around 2-6 years PQE to manage their own caseload and play an active role in expanding the department. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to further their career within a supportive environment. An attractive salary and bonus package, commensurate with the level of experience, is available.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage a caseload of private client matters, including wills, powers of attorney, and executries.
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and maintain strong working knowledge of relevant law.
  • Engage in client-facing activities, ensuring clients' interests are always at the forefront.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and staff, establishing good rapport.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities, such as becoming a qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), with course funding available.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 to 6 years PQE in private client law although all levels of experience will be considered
  • Strong experience in handling wills, powers of attorney, and executries.
  • Client-facing experience with excellent communication skills.
  • Ideally a qualified member of STEP or willing to undertake the qualification.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and a high degree of computer literacy.
  • Must possess a valid driving licence.
