Role Overview:
As a Senior School IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our school's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, providing technical support to staff and students, and implementing new technologies to improve our educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students, resolving IT issues promptly and effectively.
  • Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed.
  • Ensure data security and integrity through regular backups and adherence to security protocols.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of new IT projects and initiatives.
  • Train and support staff and students in the use of IT systems and software.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and service providers as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, incidents, and resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably within an educational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, network administration, and hardware maintenance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
