  • Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (Pro-rated £22,400 - £24,000)

We are currently recruiting for a Programme Support Officer on behalf of our client. This role is crucial for enhancing internal communications and supporting missional programmes. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in communications or PR and an understanding of project management principles.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • Support the Programme Management Office by ensuring effective communication and documentation of developments and shared learning across various episcopal areas.
  • Capture and accurately relay key points and decisions from meetings, enhancing internal messaging to inform parishes and deaneries.
  • Identify and summarize common themes from different work strands, providing regular reports and actionable recommendations.
  • Create engaging content for the website, email bulletins, and social media, collaborating with the Communications Team to align with certain protocols.
  • Plan and execute internal messaging strategies for specific missional programmes, acting as a liaison across different areas to ensure cohesive progress.
  • Conduct research on emerging themes, presenting findings in a user-friendly format, and provide administrative support as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
  • A qualification in communications, PR, marketing, or a related field is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), MailChimp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Experienced in managing social media platforms and producing digital content.
  • Familiarity with meeting software such as Teams and Zoom.
  • Experience in a PR/communications role focusing on internal communication within a project environment is desirable.
  • Strong administrative skills and the ability to coordinate direct mailings/email newsletters using tools like Mailchimp.
  • A self-starter with the confidence to work independently, ensuring tasks are suitably prioritised, yet collaborative in a team environment.
