Winner recruitment have an excellent opportunity working within the public sector space. You will be at the heart of delivering quality housing improvements across the area implanting change and creating programme of works to revolutionise the housing stock.

Our client is offering excellent package with staff incentives and an inclusive working environment, this is a hybrid role with a emphasis on staff development of your current team working closely with Contract Managers and Head of Asset Management.

Your responsibilities

  • You will been in charge of the delivery of up to 40 million programmes of works across the region, this will include existing schedules and working with the Head of Asset Management on new works
  • You will be instrumental in the change and transformation project within the region ensuring that all capital projects are delivered contractually and in line with legislation
  • You will be the 'go to' for the team along with residents and local government officials advising on what can be achieved and is feasible
  • Dealing with escalations and issues from both local officials and residents regarding project work and working on solutions while ensuring smooth communication throughout the process
  • Work closely and manage a team of 5/6 Contract Managers to design, develop and deliver the capital programme, reporting risks, opportunities, and improvements to the leadership team
  • Delivering a range of programmes and projects within social housing from refit refurbs and extension works which can be from bathrooms and kitchens to external additions
  • Working on projects across the region within accommodation from houses to low rise blocks
  • Managing the day to day performance of the team through regular meetings and one to ones

What do we require

  • Previous experience within a similar role and social housing experience highly desirable
  • Educated to a degree level within building surveying or a similar industry, ideally RICS or CIOB accredited
  • Strong knowledge of building safety and exposure to large scale projects and programmes and procurement
  • You will be familiar with statutory and non-statutory consultation processes for tenants and leaseholders
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead from the front and support your team
