Tax and Policy Accountant position working for a Government Organisation on a 12 month fixed term contract.
They offer flexible working with 4 days from home, 1 day in the office.
Reporting into the Tax and Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
The Role:
- Prepare VAT returns quarterly for submission to HMRC.
- Review transactions monthly to ensure consistent and accurate VAT treatments.
- Conduct a monthly VAT review and post reconciliation/correctional journals.
- Work with the broader business to finalise policy framework and template documents for company-wide use.
- Prepare analysis for Internal Audit actions and status reports.
Skills and Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified
- Experience with VAT
- Experience in external Audit is preferred
- Available on short notice
