We are working with fantastic SEN schools across Hitchin and the surrounding areas that provide for children between that have been diagnosed with wide ranging educational and social needs. The schools are looking for an SEMH Assistant who endeavour to ensure children reach their full potential, through high standards of teaching and learning.

As an SEMH Assistant in Hitchin you will work closely with the clinical team!

  • September start date
  • Education and Training provided
  • Pay: £460 -£500 per week
  • Full time 8:30am to 3:45pm.
  • Graduate role aimed at aspiring Clinical Psychologist to aspiring Youth/Criminal justice officers

SEMH Asssitant Requirements:

  • Personal/Professional experience with children and/or young people is desirable but not essential
  • A caring individual with energy, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work as part of team, alongside teaching and support staff within the Luton Schools
  • Willing to support a pupil with personal care where necessary.
  • Able to use their initiative to support learning.
  • Passion to support children and young people with special educational needs

What you'll need as a SEMH Assistant:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, at level 2 or above.
  • Live locally to Hitchin
