A well-known vehicle leasing business with over 40 years of industry experience is looking for a hands-on Group Management Accountant to join their Finance Team.
Operating from multiple sites across the East Midlands, this company prides itself on delivering dependable and fast services to its customers.
What will you be doing?
- Leadership and Development: Lead, supervise, and develop the Management Accounts Team to maximise productivity.
- Management Accounts Preparation: Ensure accurate and compliant preparation and creation of management accounts.
- Sales Analysis and Reporting: Conduct detailed sales analysis and manage internal and external reporting.
- Accruals and Prepayments: Handle accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes and related reporting.
- WIP/Stock Management: Manage work in progress (WIP) and stock accounts.
- Statutory Accounts and Audit Preparation: Prepare for statutory accounts and audits, ensuring compliance with necessary controls.
- Continuous Improvement Projects: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and systems.
- Implementation of New Systems: Lead the implementation of new financial systems to improve efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Leadership and Mentoring: Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team, fostering an environment of growth and development.
- Strong Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively at all levels.
- Problem-Solving Expertise: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Task Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Tenacity and Gravitas: Demonstrated tenacity and gravitas in leadership roles.
- Qualifications: Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience
Preferred Experience:
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the commercial vehicles and vehicle rentals or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP - Business Central and advanced skills in Microsoft applications.
