Purchase Ledger Clerk

I am pleased to be working with an established property business based in Warrington, who are looking to appoint a full-time Purchase Ledger Clerk on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective running of the purchase ledger and provide administrative support to the accounts department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the maintenance of the purchase ledger, taking responsibility for selected companies within the Group.
  • Coding and matching of purchase invoices to purchase orders.
  • Processing and scanning of purchase invoices
  • Preparation of payment runs.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Liaising with utility companies to clear queries and disputes
  • Resolution of general supplier queries and disputes.
  • Ongoing review of the purchase ledger and resolution of any queries.
  • Processing and scanning lease information.
  • Taking, filtering and redirecting calls with the accounts department
  • Opening and distribution of post within the accounts team
  • Dealing with outgoing post
  • Providing holiday and sickness cover as and when required
  • Other ad hoc duties as required by the Group Finance Director or Management Accountants consistent with role and experience. Desired Skills and Experience

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • 5 GCSE's grade A*-C
  • Previous experience working within an accounts department
  • Attention to detail
