Building Manager Part-Time - Lochside House

Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of the role is supervising all aspects of the dDay to day running and maintenance of the property or properties under your control and ensuring the immediate supervision of staff (if appropriate) and contractors and ensuring the required standards are achieved and maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that Savills Compliance/PO Systems are up to date and complete at all times.
  2. Ensure all Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly checklists are complete and uploaded onto Savills Dashboard.
  3. Ensure that high standards of property presentation are achieved and maintained at all times.
  4. Ensure best value is being achieved by analysing, auditing and proposing Improvements to the existing property management systems in operation.
  5. Evaluate existing contractual relationships, and ensure that the tenants are receiving best value.
  6. Your Duties will also include the upload of checklists etc onto the Savills Dashboard.
  7. Create and maintain an effective working relationship with existing suppliers.
  8. Ensure and implement best practice whilst ensuring safe working practices are complied with at all times.
  9. Ensure appropriate clear communication lines are established and maintained.
  10. Carry out any other reasonable request of the Property Surveyor & Regional Facilities Manager

Safety & Security

1. Ensure compliance with all client and Savills procedures and polices, including health and safety, COSHH and environmental matters.

2. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and codes of practice, health and safety requirements.

Promotions/Public Relations

  1. Establishing and developing good relations and partnerships with various Authorities and local agencies, notable:
  2. Local authority
  3. Police
  4. Fire Brigade
  5. Public transport Providers
  6. Ensure that all promotional activities are carried out with due care and attention to the health and safety and welfare of staff and customers.
  7. Establish and develop close working relationships with tenant representatives and manage tenant satisfaction and confidence in Savills service delivery.

Quality Assurance

  1. Adhere to all quality assurance requirements.
  2. Ensure compliance at all times with operational standards.
  3. Maintaining records of tenants
  4. Inspecting the building frequently for signs of damage or wear

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
