Role Overview:
As a DT Teacher, you'll have the exciting opportunity to teach a range of subjects within the Design & Technology curriculum, including Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, and Textiles across various key stages. Your role will be pivotal in sparking students' passion for designing and making, while also supporting their growth in technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalise Learning: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of your students, ensuring that everyone can achieve their potential.
  • Assess and Guide Progress: Monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback that helps them refine their skills and develop their design thinking.
  • Lead Curriculum Innovation: Play a key role in developing the DT curriculum, integrating new technologies and sustainable practices to keep learning relevant and exciting.
  • Collaborate and Share: Work closely with colleagues to exchange ideas and continually improve teaching and learning practices across the department.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Design & Technology or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge across various areas of Design & Technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to promoting creativity, inclusion, and excellence within the school community.
