Our client is a specialist Tech company utilising the latest technology in cutting edge processors produced by Light

Most processors are using huge amounts of electricity but this new technology is produced by light making it greener and producing less heat maps (Greater detail will be explained on application)

We are looking for a Software engineer to be involved in this exciting new adventure

The company already has a mass following and corporates sponsors and is now growing

Summary: Software Engineer based in Guildford although Hybrid is an option

Company Overview:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to develop a NIC driver to drive the worlds fastest and lowest energy optical network.

Position Overview:

As Software Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software for the companys passive optical network.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain network software for their passive optical network.
  • Interface with photonics engineers during a prototype build and testing phase, optimising network performance.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and validation of software designs to meet performance, quality, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshooting

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Knowledge of network and computer architectures.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, such as Ethernet, Infiniband etc.
  • Experience of working in a Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of flow-control algorithms, orchestration, and element managers.
  • Familiarity with developing secure software.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding networking technologies, such as optical switching.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing software for commercial roll-out.
  • Strong Java, Python or C++ skills.
