Chef Lecturer
- Hourly Pay: £26 - £28 per hour

- Hours: 22 hours per week
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate Chef Lecturer to join a leading college in Birmingham. This temporary role is an excellent chance to impart your culinary skills and knowledge to aspiring chefs. The position starts in September 2025 and continues until June 2026, involving 22 hours of teaching per week.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Facilitate learning through a variety of methods, including demonstrations, lectures, and practical sessions.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress effectively using both formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the college rules and disciplinary systems.
- Participate in departmental and college meetings, parent meetings, and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
- Stay updated with current industry practices and culinary techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional culinary qualification or equivalent.
- A teaching Qualification
- Proven experience as a chef with a strong background in the culinary arts.
- Previous teaching experience in a culinary setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
