Systems Engineer - Up to £45k
We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client for a Systems Engineer with expertise in networking and Windows Servers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in Herefordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, and 2022)
- Provide technical support for network and server issues
- Configure and manage Active Directory and Group Policy
- Oversee data backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Collaborate on IT strategies and projects
- Document system configurations and procedures
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Proficient in Windows Server administration
- Expertise in Active Directory and Group Policy
- Knowledge of Hyper-V and virtualization technologies
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified, CCNA) are a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
