Bennett and Game are actively recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer for a prestigious design consultancy based in Edinburgh. Our client is renowned for their innovative approach and commitment to employee development, with a strong focus on chartership opportunities through IStructE or ICE.
The successful candidate will predominantly engage with large-scale, high-rise residential projects, including several 20+ storey buildings in Glasgow. These projects are designed using reinforced concrete, making relevant experience highly desirable. The role offers significant career progression, with opportunities to advance to an associate position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary client contact, showcasing self-motivation and independence, while proactively collaborating with both internal and external team members.
- Efficiently manage junior team members and oversee the drawing production process with our team of modellers and detailers.
- Navigate and manage pressurised programmes during the site phase, maintaining robust and fair relationships crucial to business success.
Requirements:
- A BEng or BSc in Structural Engineering.
- Chartered status or currently in the process.
- Extensive experience with high-rise residential projects.
- Proficient knowledge of Eurocodes.
- Broad experience across various construction methods and building types.
- Essential experience in assessing existing structures.
- Proven track record with large-scale projects.
- Full, clean driving license.
- Proficiency in Tekla software.
