IT Support Technician Apprentice

Overview:

Our team is growing, and we are seeking an IT support apprentice to join us in our Cambridge office!

We are looking for a friendly, approachable, enthusiastic individual, who has a genuine interest in computers, is eager to learn and work as part of a team.

Key responsibilities: (includes but are not limited to):

  • Installing, configuring and managing Windows Server, Windows OS, Active Directory and Office packages.
  • Installing, configuring and managing Office 365, Exchange Server and mobile email services.
  • Learning about Cisco products, Cloud services (Microsoft Azure, AWS) and networking and IT protocols (TCP, SMTP, DNS).
  • Investigating hardware and software issues.
  • Occasional client site visits to support, install and maintain equipment.
  • Providing technical support via telephone and use of remote-control software to clients and our internal team.
  • Updating the service records and support ticketing systems.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation records.

A full, clean UK driver's license (is advantageous, but not essential)

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
