Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapy programs to help individuals develop, recover, or maintain their daily living and work skills. You will work with a diverse range of clients, including those with physical, mental, and developmental conditions, aiming to enhance their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve clients' ability to perform daily activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educate clients and their families about strategies and techniques to support recovery and adaptation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in occupational therapy and integrate new techniques and knowledge into practice.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Proficiency in IT, including experience with electronic health records.
