An exciting opportunity has arisen with a Firm of Accountants with offices in Colchester and Ipswich, for a Financial Accountant, paying £40,000 - £50,000. This role could be based out of either office and will report directly into the Finance Manager. This Firm of Accountants is currently going through some exciting changes as it strives to become the leading Accountancy Firm in east Anglia offering Audit, Tax, Accounts Advisory services to it's clients.

Responsibilities: As a Financial Accountant, you will...
- Prepare financial reports on a monthly and annual basis using the company's in-house financial systems.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare all balance sheet recs and draft group vat returns.
- Seek out methods and practices to improve the efficiency of the finance function and recommend cost savings for the business where possible.
- P&L Cost centre reporting for management
Requirements: As a Financial Accountant, you will need...
- A practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques
- Recognised Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA etc....)
- Solid knowledge of standard accountancy and finance best practices
- Strong understanding of tax codes and laws
- In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting
