Brookside is a modern residential care home for adults with disabilities, set in a leafy area of Edgware, north London. The service takes a person-centred, flexible approach to ensure residents have control and choice over their care. We know that everyone's needs and aspirations are different - that all sorts of things add up to a flourishing life.

Residents are actively involved in their community, enjoying regular fitness classes, sports, healthy eating support and much more. Independent living is an area of speciality, in addition to nursing care provided onsite

The purpose of the role is:

  • To ensure that regulatory requirements are met across the services of responsibility.
  • To take full responsibility for the management of the service/s and to provide the
  • highest quality of care and support to the people we support.
  • To work with the delivery team and Quality Improvement Team to ensure the
  • services are rated good or outstanding or equivalent depending on the regulator.
  • To support in the organic growth of the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • To oversee the day to day running of the services you are allocated to, this includes:
  • Ensure the rotas are completed well in advance and the appropriate blend of requirements are matched to the rota to ensure we meet all of the people we support needs
  • Ensure that rota's are completed in line with contractual arrangements
  • Ensure you monitor the quality of records by using sampling methods
  • Ensure accident/incident records investigated and any lessons learnt are embedded into practice
  • Ensure safeguarding records are investigated and all appropriate sign off is given
  • Implement and monitor operating systems in accordance with policies and procedures and ensure these are being audited on a regular basis
  • Complete regular finance audits to ensure that the people we supports money is being managed in accordance with their care plans.
  • To ensure that the service is compliant with regulation and the placing bodies requirements
  • To undertake referral assessments and mobilise new contracts
  • To ensure that keyworkers are allocated to the people we support and that the arrangements are working for the people we support
  • To ensure that the team work with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring that the people we support have access to the best support that meets their needs
  • To ensure that all appropriate health and safety arrangements are in place
