The Role We are looking for a Technical Lead to join our Nuclear Operations IT Service team. You will lead the strategic use of our Power Apps/Platform stack, providing technical direction to achieve our digital transformation goals.

Key Skills

  • Proficient in Power Platform and Power Apps development and support
  • Skilled in SharePoint Online, leading and supporting a team of developers
  • Experience with Azure, GitHub, ALM Accelerator, Python, and SQL is desirable
  • Familiarity with high-security environments, strict procedural adherence, and high-quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Shape the delivery of the Power Platform environment
  • Establish communities of practice for Power Apps
  • Implement Power Apps solutions with best practices for performance, scalability, and extensibility
  • Hands-on development with Dataverse, connectors, canvas, and model-driven apps
  • Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Review and validate solution designs, demonstrating robust tool knowledge
  • Monitor system usage, analyse metrics, and troubleshoot issues
  • Manage team backlog and prioritise work tracking
  • Mentor junior developers on code quality and application architecture
  • Stay updated with the latest features and best practices for SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure
  • Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews

Requirements

  • Qualifications in Computing, Engineering, or Science (or equivalent) or a relevant degree is advantageous
  • Understanding of safety, license conditions, security regulation, and compliance in IT projects
  • Knowledge of key business applications and information management within Nuclear Operations
  • Experience in administering the Power Platform and defining tenant-wide strategy
  • Strong technical background in IT/IT support and software development
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships, understand constraints, and collaborate to achieve business objectives
  • Proficiency in modern software development methods and DevOps principles
  • Leadership and coordination skills with the ability to mentor and coach
