Showroom Sales Administrator - PERM role - close to the City Centre

Salary: 24,375.00 per annum/pro rata

Hours: Working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Immediate start available.

The main purpose of this position will be to manage the office and all aspects of administration for the business, providing support to the Directors of the company where needed.

The company is a fast-paced bespoke furniture manufacturer based in Sheffield with the aim of producing traditional furniture with a modern feel. Made in the Cellar is a family run business that has gathered a team of skilled craftsmen to make beautiful furniture from rustic hard and soft wood. The business has grown over the pandemic which has lead to a larger business premises, bigger showroom, additional manufacture staff and the need for a highly skilled office administrator to join the team.

Applicants must have up to date office administration/PA experience working at a high level as they will be managing all aspects of the office and duties themselves. They must have customer support experience (office or retail based) as we process potential sales enquiries over the phone and we do have an open showroom meaning the administrator will have to show prospective customers round, discuss furniture designs, finishes, sizing to advise the customer and hopefully lead to a sale.

This position is available immediately. Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate on application having held a similar role previously and have transferrable skills.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Managing all incoming calls and dealing with all customer and supplier enquiries.
  • Managing your own workload, completing all work to a high standard
  • Data inputting using all Microsoft packages and any in house CRM software systems.
  • Working in a small office team environment, the office administrator will have their own office and will work alongside one of the directors 4 days a week.
  • Working together and supporting directors with all administration duties.
  • Managing the sales data entry from all three sales platforms (Etsy, Direct Website and Direct Orders placed in the showroom and over the phone/email.
  • Taking bespoke orders, talking customers through their potential order and advising them on the options we offer.
  • Responsible for checking all details of new orders, handling customer queries and providing support where needed.
  • Database management and maintenance, responsible for inputting and checking all order details.
  • Taking payments for orders, creating, and paying invoices & chasing overdue payments.
  • Working in an office & showroom - will be dealing with showroom visits from customers.
  • Chasing up missing order details for bespoke orders such as paint & finish requests.
  • Packaging and organising shipping of all small web orders and samples.
  • Typing and producing correspondence to customers.
  • Managing the website; inputting new products, managing stock levels.
  • Planning of social media posts across all platforms.
  • Reviewing and assessing procedures and helping to improve the running of the business where needed.
  • General upkeep of the office & showroom.

Requirements:

  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Have excellent database management experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Have effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work with all levels of staff and customers
  • Be professional and courteous at all times
  • Fully I.T Literate on all Microsoft packages
  • Experienced in using social media platforms is not essential but would be beneficial.
  • Website management - not essential but would be advantageous.
  • An interest in Interiors, Styling and Furniture design is not essential but would be useful.
