Meridian are recruiting for a Production Operative to join our clients machine shop based in Cheltenham on a permanent basis.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 2pm - 11.30pm

Main duties & responsibilities of Production Operative:
- Loading & unloading work in progress on to the machine
- Running batches of material
- Setting up automated welders
- Reading & accurately interpreting engineering drawings
- Accurately using measuring equipment
- Identifying good & bad welds
- Completing quality checks
Essential Criteria for Production Operative:
- Mechanical aptitude & problem solving nature
- Meticulous eye for detail & ability to work in line with quality standards
- Ability to read & accurately interpret engineering drawings
- Strong numeracy & literacy skills
- Weld knowledge would be advantageous
