Location: Andover, Hampshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 8:30-5:00pm

About the Role:

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing purchase orders and fostering strong relationships with suppliers. Your analytical skills will help maintain optimal stock levels and ensure smooth procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain stock at agreed levels and prepare regular purchasing reports.
  • Develop a supplier matrix to measure performance and analyse sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with customers regarding out-of-stock items and packing lists.
  • Book stock into the system and convert back orders efficiently.
  • Liaise with suppliers, transport, and import agents to manage accounts and shipping documents.
  • Communicate with the warehouse for scheduling deliveries and stock reallocations.
  • Provide relevant stock information to the sales team.
  • Supporting the Office Manager with new product management and process streamlining.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing role (essential).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • A solid understanding of ERP systems.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence in fast-paced environments and strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively within a team.
